Grand River Pride strives to help 2SLGBTQIA+ people find a sense of belonging. We envision a community where all people are welcome, recognized, safe, valued, and celebrated, regardless of how they identify or who they love. Since 2022, we have been redefining the meaning of community by working with pride organizations and support groups around the Grand River to create safe, inclusive spaces in which 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their allies can gather, work, share, and create.

In partnership with our sponsors, we support a network of queer makers, artists, businesses, and support organizations by providing event opportunities, funding, advertising, and support. Our goal is to reduce the financial barriers these organizations face, and increase the frequency of events in all of our connected communities. To do this, we need your help.

It’s important to see yourself in the community you live in. Grand River Pride continues to help 2SLGBTQIA+ people come together in Cambridge, Ayr, and now through the Grand River.

We are preparing to launch our Grant Program to help communities find the necessary funding to host Pride events in their community. Over the past year, funding has helped to support Woolwich Pride, Spectrum Waterloo, and local small businesses.

Now, your sponsorship will bring more Pride Festivals, Social Events, and Support Programming to communities around Waterloo Region. Our mission is to make these events free to everyone who joins us, and that takes a village.
